Malesus Elementary maintenance worker injured in fall
JACKSON, Tenn. — Workers had a scare Thursday afternoon at Malesus Elementary School after a worker fell on the roof.
School officials say maintenance worker Carey Booker was injured while working on the roof of the school.
Jackson firefighters rushed to the scene and had to use a ladder on one of their trucks to bring him down off the roof.
“It’s a maintenance worker and he had fallen off of a ladder and got his leg caught in the ladder in the fall, and it appears to have broken his leg,” said Battalion Chief Johnny Brantley with the Jackson Fire Department.
School officials say Booker has worked for the district for less than a year.
