Brutally cold conditions arrive

Weather Update: 10:30 PM Sunday
This afternoon was chilly even with the sun. Afternoon high temperatures only reached from the mid 30s into the mid 40s. Tonight things are about to get drastically colder.
This evening brief snow flurries were spotted across the area but none of the snow falling accumulated.
Overnight the arctic air arrives and this will drop West Tennessee’s overnight lows in to the teens. With winds gusting out of the north it will add an additional chill to the cold conditions. The feel-like temperatures will be in the single digits.
Monday afternoon isn’t much better. Even with high pressure building back in the region and skies are clear, afternoon high temperatures will struggle to reach into the upper 20s. Monday will be cold. Tuesday temperatures try to rebound and are expecting to only warm into the 30s, so things remain chilly through midweek.
The next system that could return rain, and possibly some snow, to West Tennessee will be Wednesday.
