Police: Man Caught Cooking Meth in Hotel Room

BOLIVAR, Tenn. – A West Tennessee man is behind bars after police said he was found inside a motel with meth. The yellow sticker on a Traveler’s Inn door marks the crime scene. “He could have died in there,” said concerned neighbor Patricia Woods. “And he could have set the place on fire.” The motel manager said she tried to transfer a call from the suspect’s mother to his room. The line was busy, so she went to check on him. That is when the manager said she found Bryan Adams in the room and called police, who confirmed he was making meth. “They got him and are probably going to save his life for now,” said concerned citizen Bud Knight. “And they got him without any other damage really being done.” Adams was initially taken to the hospital, but is now in jail and faces two felony charges of initiating the process of meth along with two misdemeanors. Some residents told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News that the most alarming aspect of the entire situation is where the motel is located. “It’s ridiculous that people have to do this in a hotel room close to the school and close to where a lot of people live,” said Woods. The motel manager stressed this is an isolated incident. “It’s a concern, but there’s nothing the individual can do about it accept be alert for it and report it if they’re aware of it, and support law enforcement to prosecute them,” said Knight. The manager also told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News that while the room where Adams was arrested may be unavailable for some time, the rest of the motel is operating as usual.
