1 seriously injured in east Jackson shooting

EAST JACKSON — Police are on the scene of a shooting in east Jackson where they say one person was seriously injured.

Officers have confirmed there is one male victim who has been transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to a release from the Jackson Police Department.

Police say they responded around 5:30 p.m. to a report of a robbery on Larimer Drive just off East Forest Avenue.

Officers say they do not have a suspect at this time and that the investigation is ongoing.
