Weather Update: 1:00 PM Friday
For the most part the snow showers are coming to an end around the area. There are only a few spots around north around Martin and Paris as well as Dyersburg still getting a light snowfall. The rest of West Tennessee is in the clear or dealing with even lighter flurries. Lingering flurries and blowing snow will be all that is we see through the rest of the afternoon.
Temperatures remain around the freezing mark and in the upper 20s. But with the very windy conditions, the wind chills are in the teens and low 20s.
Roadways are still slick and icy, especially in the northern counties. Over passes and bridges my still have some ice patches. Even with street crews out, the streets may still have some patchy slick spots.
High pressure will quickly build in tonight and lead us with clearer conditions into this weekend. Temps do stay cold for Saturday but things slowly start to rebound by Sunday and into next week.
