Jackson police search for armed robbery suspect

JACKSON, Tenn.-Jackson police are looking for a suspect wanted for the armed robbery of a north Jackson convenience store, Wednesday night.

Investigators told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News, a man walked into the Northside Express in the 2600 block of North Highland Avenue around 8:30 p.m., armed with a handgun and demanding items from the store.

Investigators said they are looking for a black man, about 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs between 160 and 170 pounds. He was wearing a black jacket with a mask over his face. Witnesses told police he then ran from the store and behind the building. Investigators said there were no injuries.
