Tennesseans must register by Monday to vote in March primary
MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — Tennesseans who want to vote in the March 1 presidential primary must register to vote by Monday.
Local and state officials are recommending voters take advantage of early voting because of unpredictable winter weather and an incredibly long ballot.
Early voting begins Wednesday, Feb. 10, and runs until Tuesday, Feb. 23. Information on early voting locations is available from local election offices in each county.
“We have an obligation as citizens of our country and our local community to participate in elections,” Madison County Administrator of Elections Kim Buckley said. “And if you want to do that, you need to come by Monday, Feb. 1 in order to become a registered voter.”
Tennesseans must bring valid state or federal photo identification with them to the polls and to register.
