Jackson Police confirm suspicious death under investigation

JACKSON, Tenn.,–Jackson Police are investigating a suspicious death near Highway 70 and Boardwalk Cove.

According to a release from the Jackson Police Department, “Around 4:00 a.m., officers were dispatched the vicinity of Boardwalk Cove for an unidentified black female lying near the entrance. Responding officers determined this female to be deceased. “

Traffic has been rerouted for several hours as officers work to collect evidence at the scene.

Police said the victim’s name and cause of death is not being released at this time.
