U.T. Martin women win 7th straight with 92-62 win

MARTIN, Tenn. Five different players scored in double figures, including a pair of 20-point scoring performances as the University of Tennessee at Martin women’s basketball cruised to a 92-62 victory over Ohio Valley Conference rival Murray State on Saturday afternoon.

UTMWinsMurrayStateThe Skyhawks (14-7, 7-1 OVC) picked up their seventh straight victory and 21st straight home victory in OVC play, the league’s longest active home winning streak.

The home squad posted yet another lopsided shooting effort, marking the second straight game that the Skyhawks have shot over 50 percent from the floor while holding their opponent to the mid-30s.

A total of five different players scored in double figures for the Skyhawks, led by the play of Haley Howard and Myah Taylor who each scored 21 points on the day, marking the second straight game and sixth time this season that UT Martin had two players eclipse the 20-point mark in the same game.

The game also marked the third straight 20-point outing for Howard, notching her seventh of the season.
