Officials release identity of inmate found dead in jail
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has released the identity of an inmate found dead at the Rutherford County jail.
TBI spokesman Josh Devine tells the Daily News Journal that Jonathan Maxwell died Saturday. Devine says a preliminary investigation shows Maxwell killed himself inside a holding cell shortly after his arrest for an alleged domestic assault against his wife.
