Police rule suspicious death a homicide; suspect in custody

JACKSON, Tenn. — After finding a woman’s body early Saturday, police now have ruled the case a homicide and say they have a suspect in custody.

boardwalk cove deathPolice responded around 4 a.m. Saturday to Boardwalk Cove where they found a woman’s body near the entrance of an apartment complex.

Officers initially called the incident a suspicious death case and now say an investigation has revealed it to be a homicide, according to a release from the police department.

The department is not identifying the suspect at this time.

The name of the victim has not been released.
