“It just felt like home and they showed me a good time,” Wilkes said about committing to Tennessee Tech. “The coaching staff is real fired up. That’s the atmosphere I would like to be around.”

Wilkes classmate Mayo will also keep his talents in Tennessee.

The defensive lineman announced over Twitter that he’s joining Cumberland University.

The duo helped the Crusaders defense head into the state semifinals with 13 allowed points total in their last six games. Liberty went 13-1 in 2015.
