Lane College hosts prayer walk as part of Religious Emphasis Week

JACKSON, Tenn. — Students at Lane College hosted a prayer walk Monday afternoon as part of the school’s annual Religious Emphasis Week.

Lane prayer walkLane students, staff and community members including fellow students from Union University gathered on Lane’s campus to pray.

Groups walked through campus praying for peace and unity, not only on campus but throughout the city of Jackson.

“We want black Christians and white Christians — people of all walks of life — to come together, really to promote unity in our relationship with the Lord and to really send the message that we are all connected,” Lane College Vice President Moses Goldmon said.

Religious Emphasis Week has been a Lane College tradition for more than 100 years.
