Police investigate Dollar General robbery in north Jackson
JACKSON, Tenn. — Police are investigating the weekend armed robbery of a Dollar General in north Jackson.
Officers responded Sunday to the report of an armed robbery at the Dollar General at 49 Kenworth Boulevard, according to a release from the Jackson Police Department.
The suspect reportedly entered the store armed with a black handgun and demanded money.
The gunman is described as a black male standing around five feet seven inches tall and weighing around 130 to 140 pounds, according to the release. He reportedly had a dark colored bandanna around his face and was wearing gray pants, possibly jeans, a dark colored hoodie and a dark colored toboggan.
Police say he left the scene in a newer body style car, possibly a Nissan Altima, and was last seen driving toward Christmasville Road.
