Union University hosts ‘Super Bowl of Book Sales’ this week

NORTH JACKSON — If you’re looking for literature, more than 20,000 books are for sale this week at Union University.

Union University book saleIt’s being called the “Super Bowl of Book Sales” in the Grant Center on the university’s campus.

Proceeds from the book fair go to help fund the school’s Center for Biblical Studies. Organziers say they’ve collected the thousands of books from donations over a couple years and are selling them at the most for a dollar apiece.

“A lot of these books you could find somewhere because they’re recognizable titles and names,” said Ray Van Neste, director of the Rryan Center for Biblical Studies. “They would sell for a good bit more than that, but we’ve got so many and we need to move them, so we decided, let’s start off with this great price.”

The book sale runs through Saturday afternoon. To see when you can make your way to the book sale, visit the Seen on 7 section of our website.
