Horn Lake man sentenced in child porn case
HERNANDO, Miss. (AP) – A Horn Lake man has been sentenced to 20 years for child exploitation after investigators found him in possession of child pornography.
The Commercial Appeal reports 57-year-old Kenath Dewayne Peal will serve five years with the remaining 15 years of his sentence under post-release supervision by the Mississippi Department of Corrections
He must also pay $1,000 to the Mississippi Children’s Trust Fund, $1,000 to the Mississippi Crime Victims Compensation Fund and must register as a sex offender.
Peal was sentenced after pleading guilty before DeSoto County Circuit Judge Robert P. Chamberlin Jr.
Peal was arrested Sept. 9 by investigators with the Attorney General’s Cyber Crime Unit and the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Department. Investigators found Peal had numerous images and videos of child pornography.
