Weather Update – 10:00 p.m. Friday
Temperatures have already started to reach the freezing mark in Jackson putting us on track to reach the mid 20s by sunrise on Saturday. We’ll have some cloud cover to contend with tomorrow but with breaks of sunshine, we should reach highs in the low to mid 50s this weekend.
Winds will become stronger throughout the day on Sunday with gusts between 20 and 30 mph possible. An oncoming cold front will give us a chance for rain showers on Sunday night into Monday morning. Temperatures will drop sharply into Monday morning with the wind making them feel like they’re below freezing – even at the warmest point of the day! We could see few snow showers and flurries develop Monday and Tuesday but the likeliest area to get any accumulation would be in portions of northwest Tennessee near the Tennessee River. Stay with the VIPIR 7 Storm Team for the very latest updates to this forecast.
Have a wonderful weekend!
