Arrest made after multi-hour standoff in Henderson

HENDERSON, Tenn — The Henderson Police Department confirms they made an arrest after a man barricaded himself inside a home off Frankie Lane in Henderson Saturday night.

Authorities told WBBJ on the scene that Gary Hart had been arrested for aggravated assault early Sunday morning after a standoff with police and a SWAT team for at least 5 hours.

No injuries occurred in the incident, according to Henderson Police.

Investigators said Hart was arrested after the Jackson Police Department’s SWAT team entered the home and brought him out.

Authorities confirmed Hart was a convicted felon and had struck another man with a gun earlier in the night.

Henderson Police said the investigation is ongoing.
