Salt and Light Conference Begins at Union
JACKSON, Tenn.- Union is holding an event designed to make sure that believers are the salt and light of the world. The conference,”Salt and Light in the Public Square: Charles Colson’s Legacy and Vision” is being held on the campus of Union University. The conference is exploring how to live a Christian life in an American culture. One area that will be talked about is marriage. “We’d love to see our students and folks around Jackson think about various important issues of the day. Poverty, life, marriage, religious liberty, and engage as Christians in a winsome way trying to persuade their fellow citizens about the important things that are going on in our country,” said Micah Watson, director of the Union Center for Politics and Religion. The conference continues through Saturday.
