Residents honor Humboldt police
HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — The resident council of Humboldt Housing Authority hosted a luncheon Friday at the Haven Heights Community Center to honor Humboldt police.
Mayor Marvin Sikes and a few officers attended the celebration.
The police department was presented with a plaque thanking them for all they do for the Humboldt community and the housing authority.
“In light of everything that’s going on, we love our policemen,” Resident Council President Myrtlene Cox said. “They do their best to protect and serve our Humboldt community, and we’re proud of them. We want them to know we love them.”
Members of the resident council described the Humboldt police as heroes without capes.
