Jackson-Madison County Library undergoes renovations
JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson-Madison County Library may look a little different for the next few weeks as they’re remodeling and rearranging to make more space.
Crews are working to tile the upstairs computer lab as well as add space for more computers in the future. They’re also replacing shelves in the children’s area and adding a ‘tween’ section.
“More and more people are wanting to come in and have a place to sit and to use their laptops and meet other people, and so we are trying to make the most use out of our space,” Director Dina Harris said.
The library said they hope to be done with the upstairs area in a month, and have opened up a temporary computer lab until the upstairs work is done. The work will not affect any usual hours.
