Henderson Fiscal Court selects interim judge-executive
HENDERSON, Ky. (AP) – Henderson Fiscal Court has selected Bruce Todd to serve as interim judge-executive following the recent death of Judge-Executive Hugh McCormick.
The Gleaner reports Todd was chosen to fill the position on Saturday.
Todd will serve until Gov. Matt Bevin names a replacement for McCormick, who died Thursday after surgery to remove a cancerous growth from one of his lungs.
Bevin has 30 days to name a replacement, who will serve until the general election in November. That’s when Henderson County voters will elect someone to serve the remaining two years of McCormick’s term.
