Generals players join Seattle at spring training

PEORIA, Ariz. — Wednesday the rest of the Seattle mariners organization, including a handful of Generals players from last season, made their way to Arizona for spring training.

Five Jackson players will take part in Major League spring training as non-roster invitees, trying to impress their club enough to possibly get bumped up to the big time.

The first full-squad workout is Thursday with the first spring game against the Padres on March 2.

Opening night for the Generals is set for April 7th in Jackson against the Biscuits.
