Former Shoney’s Torn Down

JACKSON, Tenn.- For those who have lived in Jackson for years a sad sight. The old Shoney’s restaurant on North Highland Avenue was demolished, Tuesday. The restaurant abruptly closed in 2011. The owners, listed as Tennessee Gap Trust, were given a demolition permit by the city earlier. City records showed no new construction permits for this property have been requested.
