Madison Co. Republicans host annual Reagan Day Fundraising Dinner
JACKSON, Tenn. — Hundreds gathered Monday evening in north Jackson to celebrate the Grand Old Party.
The Madison County Republican Party hosted its 15th annual Reagan Day Fundraising Dinner on the campus of Union University.
Party members and supporters participated in a straw poll that saw Ted Cruz win the Republican nomination and Brad Greer winning the bid for the 8th Congressional seat.
“I believe that politics begins right here at home, and the stronger we are here in Madison County, the stronger we will be in the state and the stronger we can be in the nation,” said Gary Deaton, a member of the Republican Party.
Organizers told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News all seven candidates vying for the open congressional seat attended Monday night’s event.
