Roane named JPD Employee of the Month

JACKSON, Tenn.-A Jackson Police Department employee with almost 60 years of law enforcement experience is named as the department’s Employee of the Month.

Bill Roane, who is assigned to the evidence and forensic lab and is a senior latent print examiner.
Roane has more than 17 years of service with the Jackson Police Department.

Roane processes evidence or examines latent prints on numerous cases for the Jackson Police Department.

“I know each one and I know what they’re looking for…what they are trying to accomplish. And I have a feeling that I’m right in there with them working the case with them,” said Roane.

Roane started his career with the FBI in 1957, transferred to the postal service for 24 years and has been with JPD for 16 and a half years.
