Man Accused of Firing Shots at Group at his Home

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn.- Shots fired during what deputies say was a drug deal in Pinson has landed one man in jail. Garrett Freeland, 26, is charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and theft. Officers said he took $40 from three people, but never gave them the Xanax they thought they were buying. Instead deputies said he fired a shot into the air, then pointed the gun at them as they drove away. A loaded .22 caliber handgun has been booked into evidence. Freeland will make his first court appearance, Friday morning.
