Peep Dough

INGREDIENTS

• Peeps
• Coconut Oil
• Powder Sugar

INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1:  Place three Peeps and one tablespoon of coconut oil in a bowl and microwave the ingredients for 10 seconds.

STEP 2:  Remove the ingredients from the microwave, add three tablespoons of powder sugar, and mix.

STEP 3:  Add another tablespoon of powder sugar, remove from bowl, mix with your hands, and observe.

EXPLANATION
Adding heat and mixing the ingredients together causes an observable change to the Peeps.  Peep Dough has mass and takes up space, which makes it matter.  Matter can exist as a solid, liquid, or gas.  Peep Dough is considered a solid.  Go to www.hookedonscience.org for more experiments that might get you and your family “Hooked on Science.”
