Police: Man threatened wife with gun, fired shot near her

JACKSON, Tenn. — A man is facing charges after reportedly threatening his wife with a gun during an argument at their Jackson home and firing a shot near her.

Brian Taylor is charged with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment after the Sunday incident, according to court papers.

Police say Taylor and his wife were arguing around 1 a.m. at their Tricia Cove home when he got out a loaded .22 caliber rifle and fired one round near the woman.

He is also accused of threatening another woman who was at the home, telling her he’d shoot her if she didn’t leave.

Taylor is being held in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
