Regional Hospital Celebrates ER Expansion

JACKSON, Tenn.- A new expansion at Regional Hospital of Jackson was celebrated, Monday. Leaders of the hospital officially broke ground, Monday. The 12,000 square foot expansion to the emergency department is estimated to cost just less than $5 million. The interim CEO said the new area will help speed up service to patients. “We get transfers from several outlying West Tennessee hospitals and we take care of some very sick people..have more services available,” said Dale Humphrey, interim CEO of Regional Hospital of Jackson. Regional Hospital estimates around 24,000 patients a year are treated in its ER.
