School makes Easter egg hunt educational
JACKSON, Tenn. — A sure sign that spring is almost here was evident on the campus of Arlington International Leadership School, Friday, as students went on an Easter egg hunt.
But this wasn’t your typical Easter egg hunt for the kindergartners. Organizers say the hunt was all about learning. The students had numbers they had to match to corresponding numbered eggs. Older students pitched in to help.
“We always push for any activity that we do have an educational twist,” said Prinicpal Dai Junious. “We don’t want to do things just for the sake of doing them, we want our kids to learn.”
Arlington, located on Arlington Avenue in west Jackson, teaches students up to fifth grade.
