Rolling for MS raises awareness to find a cure
JACKSON, Tenn. — Normally three 6’s have a bad connotation, but Saturday these numbers were able to help raise awareness for a silent disease.
American Insurance Management hosted a Bunco tournament for multiple sclerosis.
All proceeds from the night went to the National MS Society.
Players rolled the dice to raise money for the national society to help find a cure with one of their own fighting MS.
“One of the insurance companies that we represent donated a thousand dollars on my behalf. I was diagnosed in 2014 with MS,” Rhonda Lovell said. She was one of the organizers for the tournament.
There were different categories for players to win grand prizes, including gift cards, a beauty basket, and the grand prize was a signed picture of Clay Walker who is also diagnosed with MS.
