Update: Eastbound I-40 lanes reopened after Haywood Co. crash

HAYWOOD COUNTY, Tenn. — Both eastbound lanes of Interstate 40 were temporarily closed near mile marker 54 in Haywood County after a Tuesday afternoon crash involving two tractor-trailers and three cars, according to THP officials.

No injuries have been reported in the crash, according to Sgt. Chris Richardson with the Tennessee Highway Patrol Memphis District. The call for the crash went out just before 2:30 p.m.

All lanes have been reopened as of around 4:15 p.m., according to the THP Memphis Twitter account.

Richardson said there is not yet word on what may have caused the crash.
