New Playground Completed at Alexander Elementary

JACKSON, Tenn. – The end of the school year may just be right around the corner but at Alexander Elementary students are more eager than ever to come to class. Wednesday, Alexander students celebrated the completion of the school’s new playground. The playground was made possible thanks to local supporters, the Madison County’s Coordinated School Health program and by donations from students themselves. Sheri Hopper a Behavior Interventionist at Alexander says the new playground is a new beginning for the students. “They can get out here, and run off that energy before they have to go back in, and sit at their desk and do work.So I think it will impact them overall,” she said. Students raised a majority of the money through a recycling project.
