Former Jackson fireman pleads guilty to criminal impersonation

JACKSON, Tenn. — A former Jackson fireman accused of impersonating a firefighter to get specialty license plates has pleaded guilty to criminal impersonation.

CORYEMARTINCorye Martin has pleaded guilty to one count and the judge dismissed another count, according to court officials.

Martin was formally charged Feb. 29. Court documents said he used a city of Jackson firefighter ID on Feb. 16 and Feb. 17 to get three firefighter license plates at the Madison County Clerk’s Office.

Martin faces six months of suspended probation.
