Man arrested in home invasion now charged in separate burglary
JACKSON, Tenn. — One of three suspects charged with breaking into a home with an elderly woman inside earlier this month appeared Thursday in Jackson City Court on new charges.
According to court papers, Thaddeus Wilkes burglarized a Carolane Drive home in February, and officers say they have digital proof he did it.
Officers say Wilkes not only sent a picture of him holding a gun taken from the house but that he also shot video on his phone during the break-in with a GPS link to the house.
He faces new counts of aggravated burglary and felony theft.
Wilkes and two juveniles are charged in a March 4 home invasion on Cambrian Way where police say a woman in her 90s was home alone at the time.
He faces charges of aggravated burglary and felony theft in that case.
