Fire in downtown Selmer destroys at least 1 building
McNAIRY COUNTY, Tenn. — Fire officials say a Friday evening blaze that destroyed at least one building in downtown Selmer is now under control.
A fire chief on scene said no injuries have been reported and that the fire was under control as of around 7 p.m.
Two buildings reportedly were damaged in the fire, and one of those, Vintage Choices, located at 113 Court Avenue, is said to be a total loss.
At least five fire departments and dozens of firefighters responded.
