Tractor-trailer overturns on Highway 77 in Gibson County

GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. — A tractor-trailer traveling along Highway 77 between Yorkville and Newbern drove off the road Monday and overturned, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

According to THP Sgt. Chris Richardson, the tractor-trailer then flipped and slid about 200 feet.

Sgt. Richardson says speeding was not a factor in the wreck but that the driver appears to have over-corrected.

The driver reportedly suffered minor injuries and will be cited.
