David Whittington is accused of stealing money while ringing up customers at the store on Carriage House Drive, according to court papers.

Charging documents say Whittington admitted to telling customers the cash register wasn’t working, pocketing their payment and then letting them leave with the merchandise.

He reportedly admitted to using this scheme since Jan. 23.

The total value of the money and items is listed as $1,125.

Whittington is currently free on bond.
