Madison Co. Budget Committee meets, talks tech fees

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — The county budget committee held their monthly meeting Monday afternoon, and members motioned for all departments to report on their use of tech fees.

Committee members along with the county finance chair discussed the upcoming budget hearings that will take place in April.

The committee motioned for all county departments to submit a report on how technology fees are being used across the county.

“What we are trying to do is get a handle on how much it or information technology is actually costing us for the county,” chairman Doug Stevenson said.

Based on feedback from departments around the county, the chairman says they will be able to move funds if needed.

A issue with the county’s tire waste removal was also a point of concern.
