Union’s Campbell named finalist for NCAA D-II Coach of the Year
JACKSON, Tenn — Union women’s basketball head coach, Mark Campbell, has been named a finalist for coach of the year in the NCAA’s Division-II.
Campbell led Union to a second straight Gulf South Conference Regular Season Title and third on his four years in the GSC.
His team finished runner-up in the GSC Tournament after an overtime loss in the title game.
Union was the No. 1 seed and host for the NCAA DII South Region Tournament for the second straight year.
Campbell led Union to a 28-4 overall record and a 20-2 record in the GSC.
The 20 league wins set a new GSC record, breaking his own record of 19 GSC wins last year.
