11 arrested after Gibson Co. Parolee Compliance Check
GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. — The Gibson County Sheriff’s Office along with other local agencies conducted a probation and parole compliance check Monday evening across the county.

During the check, officers made visits to individuals who currently are on state probation to ensure they were in compliance with the terms and conditions set out by Probation and Parole.
During the searches, about 60 people were checked across the county and 11 people were arrested for various misdemeanor and felony charges.
Those arrested were Joey Fair, John Jones, Danita Hurley, Phillip Hurley, Jeffery Jelks, Cynric Pigue, Dedrick Mays, Marcus Mitchell, Kevin Moore, Joshua Pewitte and Shawnta Woodruf.
“This was a great example of various agencies pooling their resources together to make sure Gibson County is a great place to live and raise your family,” Sheriff Paul Thomas said. “Overall, authorities were pleased with the outcome of the operation, and the majority of those that we visited were in compliance with the terms of their probation or parole.”
Agencies that participated in the compliance check were the Trenton Police Department, Humboldt Police Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol, Milan Police Department, West Tennessee Violent Crime and Drug Task Force, and Tennessee Board of Probation and Parole.
