Interstate 40 Crash Ties up Traffic Eastbound Near Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn.- Emergency crews from various agencies were called out just after 9:15 p.m., Friday after receiving a report of a one vehicle wreck on Interstate 40 eastbound near Exit 79. Following the crash, traffic on the Interstate was brought to a standstill as emergency responders rushed to the scene. Initially, the Tennessee Highway Patrol reported a vehicle that had left the roadway and ran into the median and that one person was injured.
