Pedestrian Killed in Late Night Crash

JACKSON, Tenn. – The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating a one-vehicle crash along Interstate 40 that killed a pedestrian late Friday night. THP said the person was killed after a vehicle ran off into the median along I-40. The wreck happened just after 9:15 p.m., near exit 79, causing officials to shut down all lanes eastbound for about an hour. Troopers said no one else was injured. The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
