Early morning shooting in Bradford leaves one man injured
BRADFORD, Tenn. — Friday morning, around 2:45 a.m., officers were dispatched to 140 Wingo Street in Bradford for a report of a shooting.
According to the Bradford police department, officers arrived on the scene to find a man suffering from a single gunshot wound to his arm.
After an investigation with authorities, it was determined that Gavin Dunn got into a dispute with his father earlier that morning. Police say that Dunn was intoxicated at that time and during the fight he pulled out a gun and shot his father once.
Dunn’s father was transported from the scene to the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and has since been released, according to officials.
Police say that Dunn is charged with aggravated assault, 2 counts of reckless endangerment and possession of a firearm while intoxicated. His court date is set for April 4, 2016.
He’s being held in the Gibson County Correctional Complex on a $25,000 bond.
