Law enforcement, city and county leaders hold town hall in Gibson Co.

GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn.-Dozens of Gibson County residents met with local city and county officials for a town hall meeting, Monday evening.

Multiple law enforcement personnel and city leaders were on hand to discuss issues within the community. The leaders hope the intimate setting will also encourage local citizens to ask questions and voice any concerns they may have going forward.

“Without the citizens input, it would be hard for us to do our job. Every day we get calls from citizens about different things going on in the county and if we didn’t have them feeding us information, we wouldn’t be able to do the jobs we are doing,” said Gibson County Sheriff Paul Thomas.

Sheriff Thomas also said this was the first meeting of several planned over the next several months in different locations throughout Gibson County.
