Investigators determine remains found in Natchez Trace State Park are from deer

HENDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — Multiple law enforcement agencies responded Tuesday to a possible body found in Natchez Trace State Park.

Dispatch received a call around 10 a.m. from hunters in the area of Dickson Trail concerned about some remains they stumbled upon several hundred feet from the trail.

Agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and Henderson County deputies determined the remains were from a deer and not human.
