Extended Learning meetings held, options explored for parents, students
JACKSON, Tenn.-School officials and community members gathered at Arlington Elementary Tuesday night to discuss options available through the extending learning schools.
Earlier this year, the district proposed to implement extended learning programs at Isaac Lane Elementary and Arlington Elementary starting next year. School officials hope to capture input from parents, staff and the community in order to shape the future of these schools.
“As we’re in the planning stages, we want to involve the community along the way so that we can get input from the community and from the parents and staff so that this program can be successful,” said Kippi Jordan, incoming principal at Arlington Elementary School.
Another extended learning meeting will be held Wednesday at Isaac Lane Elementary, starting at 6 p.m.
