Hearing reset for student charged in alleged Haywood HS rape
BROWNSVILLE, Tenn. — A Haywood High School student accused of raping another student appeared Monday in court.
Terman Jeter, 18, appeared before a judge in Brownsville. His attorney could not attend Monday’s appearance, so the judge moved Jeter’s next court date to Aug. 8.
Jeter pleaded not guilty in December to two counts of aggravated rape and two counts of aggravated kidnapping.
He is accused of raping a 16-year-old female student on campus in November, according to an affidavit.
Jeter is currently free on $100,000 bond.
