Longtime Brownsville Mayor Webb Banks dies at 84

BROWNSVILLE, Tenn. — Former Brownsville Mayor Webb Banks passed away Monday in Tennessee State Veterans Home in Humboldt, according to his obituary.

Banks was 84 years old. He served four terms as mayor of Brownsville from 1994 until 2010.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m Thursday in the sanctuary of Brownsville First United Methodist Church. Entombment will follow in Brownsville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with full military honors.

The Banks family will receive friends at the Brownsville Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday. The family requests that any memorials be directed to Brownsville First United Methodist Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice in memory of Mr. Webb F. Banks.
